Christmas Home Tour 2020

This is perhaps my favorite post of the year to write. Today I want to share our Christmas Home Tour with you. Is there any other time of the year when our homes look as festive as they do at Christmas? Certainly not mine.

Now if you follow along here on the blog, then you have probably seen all of the pictures that I’m going to share today. I’ve already shared more of each room separately, but today, I wanted to combine all of my favorites in this Christmas House Tour. And if you are new here then Welcome!

Our front porch is looking very welcoming with a mini tree wreath that I quickly made and my grandma’s vintage skis planked next to the soft blue door. See More of our Christmas Porch HERE.

Now come on in to the entryway…and by entryway, I just mean this little area next to our front door. I gave this area a traditional Christmas feel by hanging up a holly berry wreath, some bells, a metal deer weather vane, and mixed in some red plaids. See more of our Christmas Entryway HERE.

I stuck with that traditional Christmas style as I decorated our Living room. This room started off with a neutral color palette, but then I just kept finding myself adding in more and more red. I think Red just reads Christmas to me. See more of our Christmas Living Room Here.

Before decorating for Christmas, I gave our fireplace a makeover. I added a faux brick peel and stick wallpaper over the black tile and then I bought us a log fireplace insert that we are enjoying so much. See More of the Fireplace Makeover HERE.

This is the first year ever that I have actually hung our stockings on the fireplace. Which now that I think about it is kinda odd, especially because these stockings are handmade by my mother in law and one of our families favorite Christmas decoration.

The very first decoration that I put up this year was our nativity. I placed it on a shelf with a mirror behind it and my lighted noel sign above it.

On our Christmas tree, I have decorated it with a knit garland, red holly berry clusters, some pinecones, a few other ornaments mixed in, and then these vintage mercury glass-inspired bulbs that I painted and blogged about HERE

We have a coat closet in our living room that I’ve used to hang up our Christmas cards. I just wrapped the closet door with yarn and then used clothes pins to hang the cards by. See more of this Christmas card display idea HERE.

Now let’s head on in to our sunroom.

In our sunroom I’ve added some lights around the windows, placed a mini tree on a wicker trunk, and then put a Santa hat on our Marlin.

You can see more of our sunroom decorated for Christmas HERE.

I actually blogged about our sunroom twice. The first time I blogged about our sunroom it was looking a little more simple with just these JOY pillows. See that post HERE.

Now let me show you our dining room. I did something a little different in here and decorated for Christmas with the color Orange.

The orange is something fun and different and adds a cheery touch. See more of our Orange Christmas Dining Room HERE.

And lastly, we’ll head into the kitchen. I didn’t take pictures of the full room because other than a garland and lights hanging around the window I really didn’t do a whole lot of decorating in here.

But I did create a festive holiday Cocktail bar on our kitchen counters.

I added a martini glass with faux snow, some reindeer decorations, and twinkle lights to create this bar. See more of this Holiday Cocktail Bar HERE.

And that completes my Christmas House Tour for 2020.

I mentioned this already on social media, but I’m guessing that my decorations will be staying up Way Past Due this year. This year was a little bit depressing and having our house decorated this holiday really brought some much needed cheer into my life, and I want to keep that feeling alive for as long as possible. You hear me? I’m sure I’m not the only one.

If you aren’t already, be sure to follow along on Facebook and/or Instagram.

And Feel Free to Pin any of the pictures from this post. You can find a handy little PIN IT button on all of the images.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I Wish You a Very Merry Christmas. May it be an Extra Special one to you and Yours.

Peace & Love,

Emily
