Our Christmas Porches over the years

In my last blog post I shared our 2022 Christmas porch and as I was typing up that post, I mentioned how I thought our front door was probably painted a different color every year when I’ve decorated it for Christmas. So this blog post is out of pure fun to see all of the different looks from over the years. And as it turns out, our front door has been a different color each year, except for when it was painted teal….The teal lasted for two Christmases. HA!

2022

This is our Current Christmas porch that I just blogged about HERE. I feel like the white door looks so peaceful. This year I added a bunch of Christmas trees and bushes and I have to say, I think this is my favorite porch of them all.

2021

Last year our front door was painted Red. I actually shared this picture after Christmas had passed because we didn’t get snow until a week after Christmas. The red door looked extra cheery against all of the fresh white snow.

2020

In 2020 our front door was painted in Benjamin Moore Wythe blue. The soft robin’s egg blue made for an extra sweet welcoming. I love how I planked the front door with my vintage wooden skis.

2019

In 2019 we had a green-brown colored door. I’m guessing it had rained before I took this picture because it feels a little drab, but not every year can be a magical winter wonderland.

2018

This picture was actually taken in February. I didn’t see that I took any pictures of our porch that Christmas but this image still looks like Christmas. This door is painted in a pretty Navy color, which I may have to go back to again, I really like it.

2017

Well, I just realized that I did not share our front port in 2017 so let’s just skip this year.

2016

2016 is the year we refer to as Snowmaggeddon here in Idaho. We got So Much Snow this winter. If I remember right, my boys got to have the longest Christmas break ever due snow days. The Snow sure made for a pretty porch that year.

This is where the teal door lasted for two Christmases. This Image actually made it into Country Sampler Magazine. Seen HERE.

2014

2014 was our First Christmas in our home. When we moved in our home had a red door. It also had green trim that I later painted white.

Well that was fun. This is why I love to blog about our home. It’s good for a trip down memory lane.
