Christmas Cottage in the Snow

Well we are technically four days past Christmas, but we finally got snow… and a lot of it! And so I wanted to share some pictures of our Cottage in the Snow with you. When I decorated the exterior of our home for Christmas this year, THIS is how I was envisioning it to look. So I’m sharing it now, and who cares if Christmas is over…..Better Late than never, Right?

I think it’s the Red Door that really stands out in these pictures. What a pretty contrast it is against all of the white. My wreath is a bit out of control, I stuck a couple of white pom pom picks in it and they’re a bit on the wild side.

The NOEL sign above the door lights up and then I have lights on the bushes and in the windows I have some snowflake lights. Not a whole lot of lights, but just enough to look festive.

This is basically the Christmas-snowy look that I was envisioning for this wheelbarrow too when I set it up. I just stuck a mini tree in the wheelbarrow with some birch logs and lights throughout it.

Even though I anchored that tree down really well with the birch logs, I still keep finding it knocked over….. but I’m pretty sure it’s just our squirrels trying to climb it or something. I think I need to try and catch them in the act and get it on camera 😊

Anyway, I just wanted to capture this cuteness of our cottage while the snow last, and of course, I also had to blog about it so that I can enjoy it some more even once the snow is gone.

And then I just thought I’d end this post with a couple of other pictures I took yesterday while out on a drive. I’m a total sucker for a red barn in the snow. If I remember, I may frame this image, or make it into a card for next year. YOU are welcome to save it and use it too if you’d like.

Do you have any snow where you are at?
