Christmas Chandelier

Have you started on your Christmas decorating yet? Perhaps your home has been decorated ever since after Halloween. We usually wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate and one of the first things I decorated was this chandelier in our dining room.

I just love the way this chandelier turned out and so I thought I’d share it here on the blog today. I don’t know if this chandelier deserves a whole blog post all about it, but I’m giving it one nonetheless.

I don’t typically decorate this chandelier for Christmas besides just hanging a few snow flakes on it, so this is something new for me. Have you ever decorated your chandelier for Christmas? If not, then perhaps I will inspire you to do so if you have a chandelier similar to ours.

I apologize because now I realize that I should be sharing a step by step tutorial about how I decorated this chandelier, but honestly, once I started I didn’t stop until I was finished, and also, this idea is so simple that I’m not really sure it needs a tutorial.

The first thing I added was five of these adorable plaid and faux wood moose ornaments that I just picked up from Walmart. I bought the ornaments to go on our tree but then decided to hang them on our chandelier instead. I just so happened to buy the perfect amount.

Next, I took a couple of different picks and started placing them around the chandelier creating a circle. Now you could also use a garland, but I only had picks available. I used a few pine branch picks that have pinecones on them, a couple faux eucalyptus picks, and some red berry picks. Lastly, I stuck in a few faux holly branches.

Here are a couple of pictures of how it looks with the lights on.

I still have more decorating to do, so I’ll probably share our dining room again once I’m all finished, but for now I just wanted to share our chandelier and hope that it inspires you in some way.
