Today’s post is a little bit different than my usual house talk, but I wanted to talk about Beauty Products with you. Now I’m not a huge makeup girl and I have absolutely No business trying to pretend that I am. In fact, I buy All of my makeup from the drugstore and my most favorite brands are the cheapest of them all..Do I dare say it?
…….Wet n’ Wild.
There I said it.
The reason I go for the inexpensive brands is because whenever I go to the drugstore, I am always so overwhelmed by all of of the choices of colors and brands and purposes of products that line the long isles and shelves.
Am I Right?
So I’ve come to decide that if I choose the most inexpensive products then it’s not a huge loss if I end up hating it. And then if I end up liking it it’s a win-win.
I also really love when someone recommends their favorite beauty products because then at least I know it’s worth a try. So I thought I’d share some of my latest favorite drug store beauty products with you to achieve an every day natural look. Maybe you will love them also, or maybe you won’t. I totally get that every girl is different with different needs. But I thought I could be of help to someone out there.

This Total Temptation mascara from Maybelline is my new favorite mascara. I’m actually kinda picky when it comes to mascaras. 1. My mascara has to have a short handle. I find those super long handles difficult to apply because you have to hold them so far away from your face.
2. I like mascaras that aren’t heavy or clumpy. And 3. My lashes are short so I’m always needing something to plump them up a bit and this mascara does all 3 of those things.
I went to the drug store one day looking for a hair detangler and brought home this Not Your Mother’s Natural Tahitian Gardenia Flower & Mango Butter Curl Defining Detangler I use this daily and sometimes even twice daily. It smells amazing, like summer. And it leaves my hair super soft. It says it’s for curls, but I don’t have curls, just a bit of wave, although I don’t think that even matters. My hair is really thick and gets super dry, especially on the ends. This detangler is really helping my damaged hair. After I wash my hair, I spray this on and comb through to get out all of the tangles. And then on days that I don’t wash my hair, I spray this on my dry ends. This detangler was what I have always needed.
Okay, I told you that I like Wet n Wild, so of course I’m going to share some Wet n Wild Products with you. Now I normally don’t do liquid eyeliners because I usually end up with a big o’l mess when I do, but thisMegaSlim Skinny Tip Eyeliner is so much easier to use because the tip is so skinny. I apply it right on my lash line and then I always like to smudge my line afterwards to give it a softer look. I really like that I have a grip on this one.
Also form Wet n Wild is this Ultimate Brow Retractable in Taupe, my latest favorite brow pencil. What I like most about this brow pencil is that it has a unique triangular tip that is really great for defining your brows and creating brush strokes. The brush on the opposite end is helpful for blending in those lines.
This may sound strange, but I have a lipstick pet-peeve. Lipstick just kinda grosses me out! It has something to do with the stickiness of it. And I just wanna cringe whenever I see lipstick marks on a glass. Anyone else feel the same way, or is it just me?
So Anyway, This Burt’s Bees lip Crayon is Hawaiian Smolder is perfect for me because it’s soft and lightweight. And actually I love ALL ofBurt’s Bees lip balms and chap sticks. They are all 100% natural. Oh and one more thing about lipstick, Did you know that when your lipstick fades away, it’s because you’ve eaten it? Yup! So at least Burt’s Bees has natural ingredients so I figure it can’t be all that bad if you eat it 🙂
Now, I just thought I’d share a few of my ALL-TIME favorite beauty products that I have been using for years and will continue to use, like FOREVER!
Rimmel London Natural Bronzer – Sun Light is perfect to add a little color to your face. I use it up high on my cheek bones, a little on my upper forehead, and then I even use it as eye shadow.
This Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreengives me just the right amount of moisture. I’m sure you use it too or have before in the past because its been around forever, but it’s still my very favorite.
I usePonds Cream because my mom uses it and always has. I think a lot of us find ourselves using what we’ve watched our moms using growing up. Right? I believe my mom uses this ponds cream as a makeup remover and a moisturizer, where I just love it for removing my eye makeup. I only apply it around my eyes and remove it with a tissue and it works great!
Do you guys use Witch Hazel? I have been using this Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner for years now and cannot live with out it. I apply it with a cotton ball and cover my whole entire face everyday. I put it on before my moisturizer and then I apply it again before bed. It cleans my face and leaves it feeling so fresh.
