When I was at my mother-in-law’s home a couple of weeks ago, I looked out the window and saw a bunch of little birdies splashing around in her bird bath. It was the cutest thing ever! And so I decided I wanted a bird bath too! Though bird baths are pretty pricey, so you know me, I searched around our home for items I could use to make my own bird bath and this is what I came up with:
I found an old spindle in our garage and carried it throughout our home looking for a lid to go on it. That’s when I realized that this bundt pan was the perfect fit.
All I did was add a bit of glue to the bottle of the spindle and laid the bundt pan on top of it.
I took it outside, poked it in the ground, and then filled it up with water.
Then I waited… and waited…and waited for the birds to come and they never did. Come to find out, birds like large circle bird baths with shallow water. Oh well!
So my bird bath then became a bird feeder! I just need to drill a few small holes in the bottom of the bundt pan for drainage and then I can fill it up with bird seed.
I’ll get around to doing that someday soon, but in the meantime, can we just admire my beautiful tree for a bit?
I look forward to this tree blooming every spring. It is so stunning and it smells like heaven.
I can’t help but take a million pictures of it.
Because in no time, all of the petals fall to the ground like snow. I wish the blossoms would last forever.
Oh ya, I almost forgot, this post is about my bundt pan bird feeder.
Which I think looks cute……. sitting under my most beautiful tree in the world 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today,
Emily

That tree! Oh my heart! What kind of tree is it? I must have one. And your bird bath/feeder is so sweet, Emily.
