It’s Here!
The post I have been promising you for the longest time ever!
This is the post where I share all of the Paint Colors in our Home.
As I’m sure with most home decorator bloggers, the question I get asked the most is,
“What is the name and brand of the paint color you use?”
So today, I wanted to share ALL of the paint colors I have ever used in our home…..which is a lot! Some of our rooms have even been painted a few times over. So this should also be a fun little trip down memory lane. I also plan to update this post every time I do re-paint a room.
So lets get started!
But before we dive into paint colors, I first want to share how I keep track of all of the paint colors we’ve used in our home, because without this handy system of mine, I would have long forgotten all of the different brands and color names.
When I stir my paint for the first time, I save the stir stick. Once the paint is dry, I write the name and brand of the color as well as the room it was used in. This is so useful to have. It’s an easy way to make sure that any new colors I plan to bring into our home will flow nicely with the other colors. I’ll also carry these sticks around with me when shopping for room decor.
Okay, moving on…
Entry
Let’s start with the front door since this is the color that seems to be the most popular in our home.
I picked up a sample of this color at Lowes on their discount paint shelf and I used it to paint the back door. I then loved the look so much that I painted both sides of the front door as well. (post)

However, I had this color mixed with a Valspar paint and not a True Value one so it was not a true match compared to the color swatch. I think sometimes it’s best to stick with the paint brand that is on the sample.
So anyway, I took a picture of the label on the lid below. If you take it to Lowes, they should be able to mix the same color I have up for you.

I re-painted the kitchen cabinets, along with ALL of the trim in our house from Kelly Moore – Almond Sugar to off the shelf Olympic brand semi-gloss white paint (un-tinted)
Out of all of the different paints I’ve used, This is my Very Very Favorite!

Wow! That’s a lot of painting for one girl! You might think I love to paint, but the truth is, I don’t!
I just Love the results of fresh new paint.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding our paint colors and I’d be happy to answer them. To see more of any room, search the Label section in the sidebar.

Great post! Thank you so much!
This is so helpful!! It's so much easier to feel confident picking a paint color after seeing it in a real room versus the tiny swatch!
You have the prettiest color pallete for your home!
So are you painting all the trim in your house pure white? When we first moved into our old house I painted every door, trim, base board, crown molding and cabinets in a warm off white color, Benjamin Moore Ivory Tusk. I feel like the color palette in my house is more cool now, but changing all of that is sooo daunting!
What beautiful, soothing colors you have in your home! And I will definitely be using your stir stick trick to keep track of color changes!
You have a great eye to match a right color on your house.
I'd never thought of keeping track of which colours I used in my house before but now that you mention it, that makes so much sense. It's a great idea to be able to show up at the paint store knowing which colours I want to match with, that would make it so simple.
