Soooo This just happened! In preparation for tonight’s game, Jake added a University of Utah stencil to our front door.
I actually bought him the stencil for his birthday because he kept saying that our Red Door needed to have a big U on it. 🙂
HERE is where I found the stencil. I found it on ETSY. Etsy is a great place to shop for fun University stuff like this. Just do a search on Etsy for your favorite University and see what comes up! I’ll add a few other cool things I found at the end of this blog post.
Jake did a great job painting the Utes logo on the door. He just taped the stencil to the door and lightly painted over it with black paint using a paintbrush. I think he was originally going to paint the stencil on with white paint, but I just so happened to be painting a dresser black this morning, and so he just borrowed my paint and brush for a quick minute. The Logo would have also looked good in white but I really like the black.
You may be wondering why we have a Utes Stencil on our door instead of a Boise State University since we do live in Idaho, but Jake did his undergrad at the University of Utah and so he is a forever Utes fan. We are actually both originally from Utah.
