Our Summertime Cottage Garden

As I was outside watering my little garden today, I decided to snap a few pictures of it and share a little bit more about it here on the blog.

This last Spring I extended out the front garden planter and I have been slowly adding new plants to it ever since. The large cabbage plants are my favorite part. The cabbages are about ready to pick, but the plants themselves are big and fun. I’ll be planting more again next year.

And then my Sunflowers are all in bloom. I planted some seeds a few years ago and now they show up without fail every year. Sunflowers are a must for all Cottage Gardens.

Not long ago I painted our front door red. This color is called, Caliente by Benjamin Moore.

I have some tomatoes growing in pots out front this year. I’ve been patiently waiting for these to ripen. Home grown tomatoes just taste better. Am I right?

I plant new plants every year, sometimes they make it – sometimes they don’t. Actually, more often then not they don’t make it, but I keep trying. 😊
