Jake and I recently celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary by spending a weekend in Boise, Idaho. We got us a room at a nice hotel (500 Capital), enjoyed a delicious dinner at an upscale restaurant (Richards) and then did a little shopping. It was wonderful! I’m very blessed to be married to such an amazing guy. So one of the stores we stopped in to was West Elm. West Elm is a fun store and we had fun looking around.
At West Elm I found this Faux Palm Plant Leaf and was excited. I have been wanting a palm frond like this for a long time. THIS is the exact one I bought.
I brought the palm frond home and placed in a white pitcher on our mantle. The palm instantly added a beach house vibe to our living room. It also added so much drama! I love it! I feel like if anyone is looking to add a tropical beach house look into their home, all it would take is adding a palm leaf like this.
I don’t buy new things for our home often and so when I do, I try to focus on adding simple, nature-inspired, decor that I absolutely love and this new palm leaf is all of the above. Also, this palm leaf is special because Jake and I bought it while celebrating our anniversary. We were married on the beach in Hawaii and so together we like to pick out tropical decor for our home that remind us of Hawaii.
Are you into beach house style? If so, then I’d suggest getting a palm frond for your home. You can place it in a vase on your mantel or on a shelf. It would probably look great just about anywhere you put it.
