Time to Switch to the Summer Bedding

Once the weather starts to really warm up we like to switch out our bedding for the Summer months. Our bedroom is located up in our attic and so it gets extra warm up here this time of year. And so now that we are almost in the month of June it was time to switch to our lighter weight bedding. How about you, Do you switch out your bedding for summer?

Behind our bed, as you can kinda see on the right in this next picture, is our air conditioner. It’s the kind of air conditioner that has a hose attached to the window. This air conditioner is amazing and we would not be able to sleep in this attic room during the summer without it. THIS is the air conditioner that we have if you are interested.

I bought these cute ROXY bed sheets from Pottery Barn Teen last year and still absolutely Love them but it looks like they are no longer available. And then my comforter and pillow shams are no longer available as well. And so I will be sharing a lot of other really cute options for summer bedding at the end of this post if you are in the market for some new bedding.

In our bedroom we just have an antique dresser behind our bed that we use as a headboard. This is a great idea if you are looking for a change. I have the dresser pulled out from the wall so that I can still access the drawers when I need to. And then the top of the dresser is a great place to add a lamp, plant, and/or picture frames.

The curtains are just made from fabric and you can learn more about the Zodiac prints HERE

Also in the room is this old wicker trunk that I use to hold extra bedding. See More about the wicker trunk HERE.

And then like I mentioned, because my bedding is no longer available, I wanted to share some other really cute bedding options with you that I have found while searching on line. These would all be super cute on a bed for summer. Some of these options are comforters and some of them are Duvet covers. I’d suggest using a light weight duvet insert, (such as THIS ONE) for these Duvet covers to make them perfect for summer.
