Jake’s Man Cave Inspiration

Last week I blogged about a Man Cave I created for a

“Man Cave Makeover” campaign  that I as asked to take part in by

Man Crates/Gifts for men

Well even though I love the rustic space I created, it seriously was a room I myself would love to hang out in. But It got me thinking about my own man, my hubby, Jake, and well, that space didn’t fit his style much.

My Jake is more of a playful, movie buff, hanging out, building lego’s with his boys, watching football, playing video games, collecting comic books kind of guy.

And so I decided to create a space just for him.

And Truthfully, he actually does already have a man cave….our basement. When we bought our home we had an agreement that I could have the whole house to decorate, but the basement  was all his.

So I’m not trying to takeover his space by any means, I’m just simply giving him a few suggestions here 🙂

I created this space on Polyvore , see more here:

Now for this space I started off with a red sectional couch that looks a lot like the one we already own. I then brought in a cool industrial locker coffee table that Jake could use to store comic books in.

Two matching bookshelves planking the couch is just what Jake needs to display some of his collectibles.

There are two small windows in the room, so I’m loving the idea of these black roller shades from Ikea. They would make the room dark, perfect for watching movies in.

An American flag hanging on the wall makes for the perfect wall art, as well as having some comic book favorites framed and hung.

Now for the little details,

Which I will have to remember about when Christmas rolls around.

These are all things my Jake would love.

Click on pictures to learn more about each item.

Which again, all details of this room can be found on my Polyvore boardHERE.

I hope you like what I did to your Man Cave, Jake 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today,

Emily
