Wicker for the Garden & A DIY Catalpa Tree Pod Garden Trellis Idea.

I don’t know about you, but I have gardening on my mind. I find myself day dreaming about what to plant this spring and I keep checking the weather to see if it will be a nice weekend ahead to work in the yard. Our weekends so far have been hit or miss.

I came up with a cute little project using Catalpa Tree Pods to create a little garden trellis, I’ll share that video at the end of this post, but it looks like wicker and it got me thinking about adding more Wicker to our garden. I just love the look that Wicker adds to outdoor spaces, so I’ll probably be incorporating old baskets with plants in them around our yard this year but I also did a look around online and rounded up some Outdoor Wicker garden items that I wanted to share with you. Take a look!

I would also suggest looking around your home or thrift stores for some old wicker that you don’t mind getting weathered and placing it in your garden for a fun addition. Really any basket can become a planter. Add some plastic as a liner and plant some flowers in it for a sweet cottage touch.

So lately on my Wicker Pinterest Board, I have been pinning ideas for making wicker baskets and wicker items for your garden and that is where I came up with this idea for my Catalpa Tree Pod Trellis, but really this could be made with sticks. Even long ones to create more of a fence.
