Hello!
I love shutters and was so happy when I found this pair for six dollars a piece at Re-store.
I had originally wanted them for my living room, but I changed my mind and found the perfect spot for them in my bedroom. They are now on both sides of the window.
The shutters are nothing fancy, just plain old plastic ones.
They were probably ripped off of somebody’s house in a renovation.
They were a green color before, but I gave them a fresh coat of blue.
I just used a Valspar color sample, in a Benjamin Moore color called, Mt. Rainier gray, being that I had grown up in Washington State, the color just kinda called to me.
I like how the color pops against my freshly painted white walls.
I’m excited to get this room finished.
So far I have painted both of the side tables, which I will be sharing soon.
Then the bed and dressers will be made over next. I also hope to get pretty new lights and new bedding.
Stay Tuned!
Thanks for stopping by,
Emily
So lovely! I've been hoping to come across some old shutters for years now but, so far, no luck!!! They look gorgeous next to your bed!
Oh that looks perfect!!!
Love them flanking the window, very cute!
I wouldn't guess they are plastic – they look great! I love the color and the name of the color, our mountain 🙂 I grew up in Renton, btw., but live over here on the Kitsap Peninsula now.
Love them!!!! Perfect again the wall, leaning behind the bed and beside the window. Love the color too!
Love the shutters!! They fit perfectly, they make the room so much more cozy.. 🙂
Greetings from Germany! 🙂 Jenny
That looks amazing, fresh and cosy at a time. I love the pale-blue colour and would not have thought, the shutters are plastic! Wonderful!
Have a nice day!

That is a nice find! And it was a good idea on repainting it blue, which contrasts really well with your white wall. It's a nice break from the whiteness throughout your room. Too bad the rest of the house won't get to have one of these! Have a good day!
