Painted Rolling Pin and a Spring Vignette in Kitchen

Happy 1st Day of Spring!!!

It is official,  Spring has Sprung!

And it’s showing up at our house. I have been decorating a lot lately with lots of flowers and bright colors.

Today I am sharing a little Spring vignette I put together in our kitchen.

It first started with painting the handles of a rolling pin.

I love the look of vintage rolling pins because of their colorful handles, so I decided to try and create that look myself.

I took a new wooden rolling pin and painted the handles in a pretty green/blue color.

I like the way it turned out, and I may just make a few more.

Before & After

Once my rolling pin was dried, I hung it from my old rake head, along with a wooden cutting board, and the new yellow kitchen towels I got for my birthday.  Then I leaned my cow sign up against the rake.

Below the wall display, I have an old white stool with a wicker picnic basket on top, which holds a little white bucket full of daffodils.

I’m loving the pops of yellow against the grey walls.

What Spring touches are you bringing into your homes?

Thanks for stopping by,

Emily

That little corner absolutely looks springy. I love the color that you added to the rolling pin and the cute towels.

Oh wow! I love the yellow with the grey – – what a pretty color combo. The painted rolling pin project is fabulous too! I am going to have to remember that one – I love it.

I'm oh so slowly adding a little spring to my house. it's hard to do with so much snow still on the ground and more on the way. But soon it will be gone, so I better pick up my pace and get some stuff done I guess.

Hi Emily, your kitchen is cute and I just love daffodils being Welsh. I'm just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. I have been having trouble with GFC and if I am already following you, and you following me, please forgive me. If not, please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

    What a sweet vignette.

I have an old rake that I have been thinking of removing the handle and making into a display. You have shown me that I definitely need to do it.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

This is so pretty, Emily! What a difference painting the handles on the rolling pin made. Thank you for linking up to the Swing Into Spring party. I'm doing a post featuring a few of the links tomorrow and wanted to let you know that yours will be included.
