My Favorite Birthday Gifts / New Home Decor

Yesterday was my Birthday and I turned 25 for the 20th time. 😉 It was such a lovely day and so I wanted to blog about it. I also wanted to share some of my Birthday gifts, which are also Home Decor that I think you will like as well. Come along, let me show you.

Don’t you just love when your birthday falls on a weekend? I sure do! I woke up on Saturday morning to flowers and doughnuts. The flowers were Daisies, which are my favorite, and the doughnuts were Key Lime filled from our favorite doughnut shop in town.

My husband and boys then took me out for a day of shopping and lunch. We picked up my Mother in Law and she gifted several of the items shown above, the cute shorts, kitchen items, a beautiful card and money to shop with. We first went to Home goods where I bought the two blue pillows and two candles. I hadn’t been to Home Goods in such a long time but as soon as I walked in I remembered how much I just love that store.

I was excited to come home and find a place for these new velvet pillows. Right now I have the pillows sitting on my wicker chairs in our living room, but I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot of these pillows throughout our home in pictures from now on. I was in PILLOW HEAVEN at HOME GOODS. They had so many awesome pillows to choose from. I actually picked out these two velvet pillows because they reminded me so much of THESE ONES that have been on my wishlist for a long time.

I will do my best to link these products, but HOME GOODS does not have everything listed online for what they have in their stores. For instance, I couldn’t find these exact pillows on their website, but I think that THESE are very close. And I know for a fact, that THESE are similar because I squished them in the store. I love a good Squishy pillow with down feathers, and these definitely are.

Home goods also has The Best Selection of scented candles too. That’s why I came home with two! I was literarily in the candle isle for 10 minutes smelling all of the candles. We love burning candles around here and I picked out some good ones. Again Sorry, I couldn’t find these exact candles on line, but I’m willing to bet that THIS one and THIS one both smell really good.

So after shopping at Home Goods, we went to my favorite restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory! I love everything I have ever eaten there. This time I ordered the breakfast burrito, and then I choose the Banana Cream Cheesecake To-Go so that I could enjoy it later in the evening, which I did 😊 The Cheesecake Factory is in the mall here in Boise, which also happens to have the only Pottery Barn in all of Idaho. So I got to browse through Pottery Barn while walking off lunch. I didn’t buy anything in Pottery Barn, but This and This did catch my eye. After Pottery Barn we headed for home where my husband gifted me THIS Pineapple curtain rod that I imedantly got to work hanging up….. Well after a nap of course.

I hung the Pineapple curtain rod in this nook area in our Kitchen and I am absolutely in Love with it.

The curtain rod is even better in person than how it looks online. I was surprised by how big the pineapple finials are. I had imagined them to be smaller.

The curtain rod was packaged really well and it came with all of the hardware needed to hang it. It isn’t real wood, but it sure looks like it could be.

I just hung a piece of fabric up using curtain clips and I love the look of it. I bought this fabric forever ago and have had it hanging here before. I like to switch things up and before this fabric I had some white curtains hanging. I think I may want to hang a hook on the side so that I can tie back the curtain during the day and to give it that cute swoop look.

I also love how the pineapple curtain rod matches the wicker I have here in our kitchen. And because someone may ask, this paint color is Benjamin Moore- Caldwell Green. See all of our home’s paint colors HERE.

I also love how the blue curtain flows nicely in with the wall color in our dining room. I’ve been trying to stick to a cohesive color palette in our home and like when everything plays nicely together.

So later in the evening we watched a Birthday Video that my husband made for me and ate our cheesecake. The video was so sweet and definitely had me holding back some tears. It was an amazing birthday from the time I woke up until the time I went to sleep. I am blessed and Thankful for the love of my little family.
