Spring Touches in our Dining Room

I added a few small touches of spring into our dining room this weekend and it instantly made the room feel so much livelier. A little refresh was exactly what this room was needing

I am anxious for spring to arrive and I thought it would be nice to bring in some pretty decor into this space. I didn’t add much, just some artificial hydrangea blooms and a pop of color with a green table runner and pillow.

There is also a lot of wicker going on in here and wicker is perfect to use for spring decor, at lease I think so.

If you are new here, or if you missed it, last fall I painted our dining room blue. This blue is called, Van Deusen Blue by Benjamin Moore. You can see all of our current home colors HERE. I just think this blue is such a lovely color.

Also if you are new here, you should know that our floors didn’t always look like this. They use to be an orangy oak color, until I gel stained them, as seen HERE. I gel stained the floors last July, and I’m waiting for the floors to come to their one year anniversary before I do an update post. But until then I’ll let you know that I’m still happy with them. I do have a few areas that need a little touch up, and they are really hard to keep clean because the dark color shows all the dust and dirt, but whenever I have them freshly swept and mopped, then I am so in love with them.

Everything that I’ve used to decorate this room I have had for years. The only new items are these wicker glasses that I just blogged all about Here and then the curtains are only a year old and I blogged about them HERE. The gorgeous faux hydrangea stems were from Balsam Hill years ago but it doesn’t look like they still carry them. I’ll add some links at the end of this post to some similar items in the room if you are interested.

The green table runner is simply just some fabric that I had on hand…actually that’s a lie, it honestly is a sarong/swimsuit cover up, but I thought it would look cute on our table 😉 The green pillow I did sew from some fabric that I picked up in Hawaii. And that’s about it for my spring decor for now. I’m sure I’ll be back soon to share more as I slowly add more touches of spring into our home.
