Hello and Welcome to our Fall Home Tour!
I am so happy to have you here today.
Have you started decorating your home for Fall yet?
This Fall into Home Tour will be sure to provide you with so much wonderful fall decorating ideas, brought to you by our beautiful host, Rachel, from Maison de Pax, along with so many other creative home bloggers whom have all cozied up their homes for the fall season. You are in for such a treat!
If you are following along on the tour, you are most likely coming from my friend,Alicia’s beautiful home. At the end of this post you will find the links to all of the others blogs involved in this tour.
Okay, so lets get started! This here is our entryway.
I think our entryway may just be my favorite spot in our home to decorate for all of the changing seasons, and because it’s the entryway, I like to make sure that it provides a welcoming setting that lends the mood for the rest of our home. For this Fall season I have created a rustic, bohemian farmhouse feel by using tan leather, blue accents, plants, and lots of texture. I’ve also hung up an old shadow box that I painted white and filled up with air plants and pine cones.
Looking around our living room you will see that I didn’t add anything that you typically use for fall decor, like, pumpkins, leaves, and bright fall colors, instead I wanted to create a space that felt rustic, free spirited, and cozy, which to me is what Fall is all about.
These picture ledges, which you can find my tutorial to make them HERE, also get a fresh new look every season. For this fall, I have framed some beautiful black and white photography prints that I found at a yard sale for pennies each.
And actually, the wicker star and the black board that I have attached my metal deer hanger from, have also all come from yard sales. For whatever reason, I take pride that my home is decorated in found treasures, I think it is what makes our home special and unique.
I sewed the #74 black and white buffalo check pillow that sits on our couch and I will be sharing more about it in an upcoming post. The rattan coffee table and mirror both recently got painted, you can see that post here. And this new shag rughas been such an awesome addition to our living room, I now find our family gathered around in here more than ever before.
For our mantel display, I kept it simple and just added a lot of books and mixed in a few other small items. I think the books give you that, ‘cuddle up and read’ vibe, which again, is so cozy for fall.
A little tip of mine for displaying books, which I’m sure drives every librarian a bit nuts, is to turn the books around so you get a pretty neural look.
Across from our living room is our dining room, although it’s really just one big open space.
I try to keep these rooms looking cohesive, however, in here I added a bit more of your typical Fall decor as I set the table for a Fall dinner with friends.
Separating the living and dining rooms is this wall here, which again is another place for me to play around with.
I switch the decor on this antique shelf up often, but the white picture frames and white pitchers are staples. I just love the freshness of white.
The little white bench is an antique too. I usually just switch out the pillows on it to give it a new look for the changing seasons. I thought the rolled up blanket was a fun touch for fall, it’s something you can grab on your way out the door for watching a football game or having a picnic. It was so simple that you can create one too, just grab a blanket, roll it up and wrap a kids belt around it.
I really had fun setting my fall table. As a centerpiece, I first laid down a couple of layers of fabrics and then on top of them I added my large elk antler, some ceramic pumpkins, white candles, and some leaves with those spiky seed pods things attached to them.
And then for the place settings, I started off with my black and white striped plastic place mats from Ikea that I just Love. If you are near a Ikea, then you need to get you some of these, especially if you have kids. They wipe up so easy and I think they are adorable.
And then I layered on a charger, which isn’t really a charger, but a pizza pan from the dollar store. The white plates are also from the dollar store, and a tutorial for the napkin rings will also be coming to the blog soon.
I stuck a piece of straw grass in with the napkin for a fun fall touch.
I brought the straw grass, as I’m calling it, home with me from our last camping trip to a lake. I’m sure the other campers thought I was weird, strolling along the weeds with a pair of scissors. but that didn’t bother me because I thought it was pretty.
Now moving along, off of the dining room is the kitchen.
Lastly, I just thought I’d share this little nook area in here.
I took the same black and white buffalo check fabric as the pillow in our living room and covered our bamboo kitchen stools with it and I’m just loving the new look.
And I switched out our ship wheel wall clock for a bull skull, taking our kitchen from beachy to rustic. Now our kitchen flows better with the rest of the house.
And that completes our Fall Home Tour.
I hope that you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and be sure that you are following me to keep updated on what other projects I have in store.

Can I just move into your house? Seriously. I have a Pinterest board called "Home" for those images that feel like home. There are only a few pins that make it to the Home board. But your house just did. I love, love, love it.
Just the look to get me motivated to switch things up for fall. Wishing I knew where the blue plaid blanket came from?
