Our Backyard & Cabana in the Spring

Our backyard looks so beautiful right now and so I took a few pictures to share with you today. Every Spring when our Backyard Snow Crab Apple Tree is in Bloom I set up a little photo shoot and share pictures of it here on the blog. Since this is our first Spring with the New Cabana, I thought it would be fun to shoot some pictures of both.

Jake and I took down our old play fort and turned it into a backyard cabana last summer. You can read more about it HERE. It was the best decision for our backyard since we now use the cabana daily.

We have also added a ton of plants to our backyard and planted clover instead of grass for a more eco-friendly alternative. We plan to continue to plant more plants until there is no more room to plant 🙂 I’ve always dreamed of having a beautiful lush garden and slowly but surely we are headed there.

This tree however is the Star of the backyard. Right now it is buzzing away with all of the bees on it. And it smells so amazing! As soon as you walk outside you get a whiff and it’s just so lovely, but already the peddles are starting to fall and soon it will look like snow on the ground.

Speaking of ground….. We have a new backyard buddy. Isn’t this Alligator cool? My husband’s uncle just gifted it to him when he came to visit a few weeks ago. We actually have quite a few alligators roaming our backyard…. all gifts from the uncle 🙂

Can you spot another alligator above?

Just today, we picked up some new solar lights. These are Tommy Bahama Brand and we got them at Costco. They are getting charged up in the sun and we are excited to see them light up tonight. The shadows are supposed to look a little like palm fronds.

Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed my backyard pictures today and I hope that you are also enjoying the spring….and the season that you are currently in.
