Remember me saying I took like 100 pictures of my newly updated kitchen?
Well I wasn’t kidding and today I am going to share them with you . . . but don’t worry I narrowed my pictures down to just my top picks. Really, who wants to look at 100 pictures of the same room anyway.
I like to compare this top picture to the Before picture below. What a difference paint can make, Right?
So here’s a recap of the changes I have made.
I first painted the cabinets a creamy white. As you can see from the before picture, they use to be a glazed dark cream color. You can read more about my Painted Cabinets in this post HERE.
I also painted the ceiling in the same white paint as the cabinets.
Choosing a color for the walls though, was probably the hardest part of my kitchen transformation. You can read more about it in this post HERE. I ended up going with Horizon Gray by Benjamin Moore.
And the last change I made was switching out the light fixtures to these basket ones.
These were made from a couple of wicker food covers that I found at Home Goods.
You can read more about them in this post HERE.
Now that you are up to date, have a look around.
I get a lot of complements on my cow sign. I won it in a giveaway from Happy at Home.
I’m showing you my trash can because it’s new and I like it. It’s a smaller version of your typical metal outside trash can, but I find it to be the perfect size for the kitchen (20 gallons).
I’d love to hear what you think.
Now that my kitchen is finished, I’m ready to makeover my boy’s bedroom and I am so excited to get started on it.
Thanks for stopping by,
Emily

It turned out so well! Those light fixtures are clever and I love the final color choices throughout. Congratulations on a great job done.

It looks amazing! Where did you get the glass jars with metal lids that your flour, etc. are in? I love the metal trash can too…we have one too!
Hi Kiri, A few of my jars came from a yardsale for FREE. but I did get one of them at Costco… I think it had pickles in it??? I'm headed to costco this week, I think I'll see what the options are to get the large jars, and then maybe I'll do a post about it. I then spray painted the lids silver. Have a great Weekend!
Your kitchen looks wonderful and you have such pretty accessories. I love your plates with the yellow flowers. You must get such a good feeling every time you walk in after all of your hard work!

Very pretty! I'm new to your blog, but really enjoying it.
Gorgeous. What a great job you did on the kitchen. It had good bones, but you really brought it to life. I remember seeing it when you first bought the house and I love the soft blue colour you painted the walls and especially love the wicker lights you put over the counter. They are totally brilliant.
I love your home – absolutely gorgeous. Wherever did you get the wooden shelf with the scalloped trim?
