As I was cleaning up our sunflower garden, cutting down some of the old, spent stalks, I couldn’t resist bringing a few of the still cheerful sunflowers inside. I tucked them into an old blue camp coffee pitcher and set them on our dining room table, and of course, I had to take a few pictures.

With the denim sofa and my Ralph Lauren-inspired gallery wall in the background, the whole room feels like the perfect mix of rustic country, Americana, and late-summer charm.

I’ve always had a thing for Blue Speckled enamel Camp Dishes. I absolutely love the way the sunflowers look in this coffee pot.

There’s something so simple and happy about bringing a few flowers in from the garden. These little sunflowers may not have been part of any big decorating plan, but I love how they brighten up the dining room and carry that warm, rustic feeling of late summer into the house.
