I thought it would be fun to decorate my little fairy garden for Halloween this year. I have blogged about my fairy garden in the Fall before (as seen HERE) but this year I took it to a whole new level.
My fairy garden has grown a lot since when I had originally shared in a few year back. See how it all started HERE.
It basically just started off with this big tree stump and cute little gnome door and now I just keep adding more to it.
To decorate my fairy garden for Halloween I first brought in our Zombie yard decoration. Isn’t he great? Jake’s uncle gave it to him for Christmas one year and I love to bring him out at Halloween. The zombie has lost an eye over the years but now it looks even creepier with a rubber snake coming out of his eye socket.
Next I added in lots of spiders, rubber rats, pumpkins, tombstones, and skeleton hands.
And I scattered red leaves all about. The leaves are from the trees in our front yard that are really starting to get colorful.
I have to admit, I’m pretty pleased with how it all turned out. It’s all so cute….but in a creepy way of course.
Our wood fence is new, we got it last spring, and as you may know, the old fence is now on our bedroom ceiling. (seen HERE). On the fence, I’ve just hung up a black net spiderweb.
And then I hung a plastic witch’s cauldron from my garden stake. And then I also mixed in some rubber snakes and a sad little black bird thats missing some feathers.
The Black crow swinging garden stake was once a rust color and not intended as Halloween decorating, but I spray painted it with black spray paint and now it’s one of my favorites. I mentioned this before, but a lot of garden decor can easily be turned into halloween decorations with just a heavy coat of black spray paint. Look around your yard, perhaps you have something that could be made into halloween decor.
And then I hung this fun black plastic ball garland from my little white picket fence.
I will end this post with a picture of Stormy. Who I have to tell you was literally shaking when she first noticed the zombie. HA! it was so funny, I tried to get it on video but she ran away too soon.
