The other day I placed a few branches of lilacs and pussy willows in pitchers beside my kitchen sink, and it instantly made the whole space feel bright and cottage-y. It’s such a simple little arrangement, but it has been bringing a lot of joy to this everyday spot in our kitchen.
Next to the sink I keep an old wooden crate that holds a couple of pitchers filled with spring branches.
My kitchen sink sits right under a small café style awning that acts as a curtain, and it gives this part of the kitchen such a cozy cottage feel.

The lilacs smell wonderful but only last a few days, while the pussy willows have surprised me by lasting for weeks.
A few soft spring towels hanging over the dishwasher handle add a little extra color and keep the space feeling fresh for the season.
Sometimes it’s the simplest little touches, like fresh branches in a pitcher that make everyday spaces feel extra special.
