This area in our living room is becoming a favorite spot of mine to decorate. I have incorporated a ton of tropical home decor in it and I love the vibe it’s giving our home. I feel like I really am in a tropical destination. If you love tropical home style too, as I’m guessing you do since you are here, then I hope that I can inspire you in one way or another today.
I’ve already shared more about the shelf in the corner in a previous blog post. You can see it HERE.
But then after sharing that corner area, I figured I should share more of this space. I don’t think that I’ve shared this space since Christmas and some things have changed since then.
- Mirror: I have had for years, It was brown and from the 70’s. I painted it white and glued seashells to it. I plan to add more shells to it someday.
- Rope Lights – From HERE.
- Antique Brackets – The rope lights are hanging from antique brackets that my neighbors gave me. The brackets were a part of the broiler in the basement of their historic home. HERE are some Cool ones.
- Shutters: I picked mine up at Re-Store. But these can be found at most home improvement stores. Like HERE.
- Bamboo coffee table: Mine was thrifted- I’ll share similar options below.
- White Slipcover Couch: Ikea Ektorp – Similar option HERE.
- Blue Velvet Pillows: HomeGoods, I’ll Link similar options below.
- Orchid Plant – Mine is real. Gift from my MIL. Fingers crossed that I can keep it alive. Faux Options below.
- Zebra Pillow: This was a DIY with a white pillow and a sharpie marker -Tutorial coming soon!
