Rachel Ashwell Couture Prairie and Flea Market Treasures is Rachel Ashwell’s newest book.
Rachel Ashwell has always been a huge inspiration to me. Rachel Ashwell is a self-made business woman who founded the iconic brand known as Shabby Chic. She has a great vision and love for vintage style and flea market finds.
Rachel Ashwell Couture Prairie and Flea Market Treasures is all about the journey of a Bed and Breakfast that Rachel intuitively bought in the heart of cowboy country, Round Top, Texas, on a 100 year old farm, now known as
The Prairie.
With this Bed and Breakfast came a 1800 Texas farmhouse, several barns, three little houses, and a garden, all on 46 beautiful acres.
Rachel and team have carefully restored each building and have decorated it all in her iconic shabby chic couture style.
Each of the five eclectic lodging properties have sumptuous beds, all dressed with the Rachel Ashwell bedding. They serve a yummy and famous breakfast on vintage china at the start of the day.
It is a wonderful, luxurious, and glamorous experience for all who stay there.
Here are just a few of my favorite images from the book. However, each and every picture in this book takes you to a magical place. You will be richly inspired each time you turn the page.
The Pearl Barn
The Pearl Barn was newly built, inspired by a neighboring barn in a flea-market field. It provides extra space for parties, weddings, and other events.
Hidden on the prairie is a Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic couture shop. Where guests can take home a little piece of their magical experience, whether it’s a logo’d coffee mug, a mushy sofa, or a set of soft sheets.
Round Top and the neighboring little towns along highway 237 host a flea market week, attracting tens of thousands of treasure hunters in its thousands of stalls every year. This is where Rachel finds treasures that stock her life, her shops, and refuel her inspiration bucket for design work.
In this book, Rachel takes you along on some of her treasure shopping experiences and shares a few of her own secrets.
Staying at the prairie would be a dream come true for me. Reading this book, Rachel Ashwell Couture Prairie, has made me feel as if I’m already there, touring the premises, peeking into all of the rooms, sitting on a porch rocking chair, and flea-market shopping around town. What an experience!
This book is one that you all need to have in your collection. It is truly inspiring!
