British Colonial Home Decor

Do you love British Colonial Style as much as I do? British Colonial Style dates back to the 1600s -1800s, incorporating Old and New world Characteristics. This style seems to come and go in design trends over the years, but it’s one that I have always been drawn to.

The unique characteristics of British Colonial Style is the mix of Dark woods and Light soft fabrics. It includes natural woven fibers, such as wicker, rattan, jute, bamboo, seagrass and teak, with elements of Tropical Accents, animal hides, botanical prints, leather trunks, dark shutters, palm plants and travel keepsakes. It has an overall relaxed vibe with a rich and elegant approach.

Today I have rounded up some beautiful home decor that fits with the British Colonial decorating style.
