Wicker Seating Area in our Dining Room

I gave this cozy little seating area in our dining room a quick refresh and wanted to share a few photos with you. If you have a spot near a big, sunny window, I hope this inspires you with a few ideas for creating a warm and inviting space of your own.

This is a great window we have in our dining room because it lets in a lot of light. My plants love to be in front of this window, as do I. 🤎 The two wicker chairs are in a perfect place to sit and take in the sunshine.

I also have my Bell-chime water fountain in this spot. I’ve shared this fountain several times already, I’m sure, since it’s one of my favorite things. I’ve had it for years and I keep it running all the time, and it’s still working great. It creates the most soothing chime sounds. I love having it as background noise.

A recent change I made, was that I added this blue and white tie dye fabric to my little table that the fountain sits on. This tie dye fabric is round and I believe is meant to be a beach blanket. It fits this table perfectly, and I like how it looks. Plus, now I’m able to store the water pitcher under it that I use to fill up my fountain when the water gets low.

Adding fabric, or a small table cloth is a fun way to switch up your space. It you have a small side table, think about adding a cloth to it. It might just give your home a fresh new feeling.

I have my collection of wicker trunks/picnic baskets stacked tall. I like the height and texture they add to the room.

At the end of this blog post, you can find a Shop this Post section, where I track down similar items to what I have in our home, just in case there is anything catching your eye.

Above my two corner hutches, (which you can only see one hutch in my pictures today) I have an apple bushel basket, I hace one above each of the hutches. I picked these baskets up at my local grocery store for only a couple of dollars each. I’m still debating if I want to stain them, paint them, or leave them as is.

I tend to switch artwork up a lot around our home, but I’m currently really liking the more muted, sepia toned pictures I have hanging. This palm tree print has been a favorite of mine for a while now.

I really like dark brown wicker, I’ve painted these chairs (and my dining room chairs around our table) many many times, but the dark brown is my favorite look for them, so I will keep them this way for a while longer. I do need to touch up the dining chairs with spray paint because they have some missed spots from when I painted them last.

Other than the tie dye fabric on the table, I’m not sure that there is a whole lot of other changes in here since I shared it last. So I’m just going to share pictures for the remainder of this blog. But if you do have any questions, please let me know.
