Who says you have to live by the Beach to live the Coastal Life? Not Me! I’m here to help you get that Beach House Vibe even if you live nowhere near a Beach.
Have you ever stayed at a beach house and wanted to bring the look home with you? Follow Along as I share my tips on how you can achieve that Vacation Vibe in your own home and start living the Laidback- Relaxed lifestyle that beach houses are known for.
Here are 5 ways to instantly get a Beach House Vibe that you can start applying to your own home today.
Hang Beach Bags, Sun Hats, and/or Beach blankets from hooks in an entryway.
Chances are you already have items like these in your home so why not put them on display, like in an entryway, to give a look as if you’re heading out the door to hit the beach. I just got these tropical curtains that I’m obsessed with (Seen HERE) but you could also think about hanging up a printed beach blanket, swimsuit wrap, or anything that has a tropical look to it.
Seashells! Place them anywhere and everywhere.
I have never stayed at a beach house that didn’t have a ton of seashells laying around. I know every time I go to the beach I always bring back at least one seashell in my pocket and I’m guessing the same goes for a lot of people. What about you? Find those seashells and put them out on display in your home. 🐚
Palm Fronds add a tropical look to any space.
I bought this Palm Frond (from HERE) a couple of years ago and I couldn’t believe how much it added to our home. I felt like it instantly added a tropical look and so much drama to my space. I even blogged all about it which you can read HERE. So coming from experience, I wanted to add Palm Fronds to this list of Beach House must haves.
Keep Pineapples on your Kitchen Counters.
Who Doesn’t love fresh Pineapple? Let this be a reason to always have one on hand. Pineapples are great for beach decor in a Kitchen. They are tropical, cute to look at, and delicious. Every Beach House needs to have fresh fruit on hand for a heathy beach day snack.
White Slipcovers or try using White Sheets.
Nothing says Beach House more than White slipcovered furniture. It’s light, airy, and can easily be removed and placed in the wash if needed. So what do you do if you don’t have white slipcovered furniture? Try White Sheets! Our sectional couch is Red. Do you know how hard it is to decorate around a red sofa? It’s been the reason for my all-over-the-place-decorating these last few years. But can I just tell you, as soon as I threw some white sheets over the red couch, I imedantly felt like I was at a beach house. Sure, it’s not perfect, kinda messy looking even, but honesty, I think it looks laid back, relaxing and ready for a lazy day nap.
So there you have it! My five tips on how to instantly get a Beach House Vibe. What do you think? Are there any tips that you’re excited to try out? I made a quick video below that you can save as a reminder for later.
