The Perfect Summer Bedding – And Bedroom Updates.

I was gifted some new gorgeous bedding from Madison Park for an Instagram video, but I just had to hop on here and share it with you too. It’s way too pretty not to! And I know not everyone is on Instagram, so I didn’t want you to miss out.

Be sure to stick around until the end—I’ve got a special discount code to share that you won’t want to miss!

This bedding is the Bahari 3 Piece Tufted Cotton Chenille Comforter Set. It comes with a comforter and two matching pillow shams.

This comforter is extremely soft, thick, and Oh so Pretty!

I like that it’s Cotton and Oeko-Tex Certified, which means it’s made with no harmful chemicals. The more I hear about plastic being in our clothes and bedding, the more I want to buy products that are from natural fibers.

The Chenille Pattern is such a fun mix of vintage charm and tropical style. The Tufted Chenille gives the bedding a charming, vintage, Shabby-Chic look, While the palm pattern adds Tropical Vacation Vibes.🌿

This bedding will instantly add a Coastal – Beach house Look to any bedroom.

Crisp white bedding is such a summer staple, it instantly brightens up the room and creates a fresh, airy feel. Not only does it look clean and timeless, but it also adds a cooling effect that’s perfect for those hot summer days when you want your space to feel light and breezy.

I made a few other changes in my room, starting with the curtains. I used to have blue and white striped ones hanging, but I was craving something lighter. I knew I wanted plain white curtains, but since I didn’t have any on hand, I got creative, I simply cut a white bed sheet in half and hung the panels using curtain clips.

After I hung my curtains, I added this seashell mobile from the rod bracket. I think it looks pretty here. Also with the window open and a breeze I’m hoping it will make a little soft noise.

The second change I made in our bedroom was bringing in this beautiful armoire with shutter doors. It’s not actually new—just new to me! I found it at a yard sale and knew right away it would be perfect for this spot in our bedroom.

But getting it here was a whole adventure. The armoire was massive and heavy, and when we tried to get it upstairs, it quickly became clear it wasn’t going to happen. Our stairwell is just too narrow. After my husband hurt his back, my son hurt his finger, and a picture fell off the wall and shattered… I knew it was time for Plan B.

Long story short, I ended up taking the entire thing apart, hauling it upstairs piece by piece, and then reassembling it myself. It took all day, but totally worth it—I love how it looks in the room, and I’m pretty proud I managed to put it back together all on my own!

I should also mention, that the armoire just barely fit into this area in our room. It would have sucked if after all of my hard work of dismantling it, moving all of the pieces up stairs, and then re-building it just to find that it didn’t fit. Luckily it did!

Another recent find, well, not exactly from a yard sale, more like a junk sale (same idea, right?)—was this cream and blue striped crock. The sticker on the bottom calls it a cookie jar, though it didn’t come with a lid… or any cookies. 😆

Still, I knew it would be perfect for holding flowers—or even a palm leaf, like I have here.

Back to the comforter—I chose a King size even though our bed is a Queen. I always prefer sizing up when it comes to bedding because it gives that extra drape over the sides, which makes the bed look more luxurious and cozy. The larger size also helps cover the box spring and frame better, giving the whole room a more polished, finished look.

I also use King size pillows on our Queen bed, not only are they extra comfy to cuddle with, but they fill out the space nicely. The King size shams give the whole setup a plush, inviting feel that I really love.

I’m really loving how tropical and relaxed my bedroom feels now, thanks to all the little changes I’ve made. The fresh white bedding, breezy curtains, natural textures, and pops of greenery all work together to create a light, airy vibe that reminds me of a beachy getaway. It’s amazing how a few simple updates can completely transform the feel of a space!

I hung the white curtains around my bed a few years ago and I still really love the look of them. It was so easy to it, I just used bed sheets and a staple gun. [ See the blog post HERE ].

Oh, and one more thing I wanted to share—there’s a white wicker rocking chair in the room that already had a chenille cushion cover, and now the chenille matches the new bedding perfectly. It’s such a cozy, effortless touch that ties the whole look together.
