I like decorating this little corner in our living room, so today, after moving a few things around I thought I’d take a few pictures to share with you.
The last time I shared this area in our living room was after I brought in an old stereo and CD collection. [Read the full story HERE] but I have been enjoying listening to CD again ever since.
If you have an old stereo and CD collection put away in storage, then I highly recommend getting it out setting up a place to re-enjoy them. It’s been a ton of fun.
So what I’m calling my “Summer Decorating” is that I brought in a white pitcher full of (faux) hydrangeas, a large seashell, Some nautical throw pillows, and a wire basket full of driftwood.
Like I mentioned in my last blog post, I decorate with beach-inspired pieces all year round, but I know for many, beach decor is more of a summer thing. The same goes for a red, white, and blue color palette—it just feels like the perfect combo for the season. Here, I had fun mixing and matching a few pillows in those classic summer shades.
I also love covering our couch with a soft comforter. It’s a great way to keep the sofa cleaner for longer, and it adds such a cozy, inviting feel to the space. Lately, I’ve been doing this more and more—not just on this couch, but also on our large sectional.
I also brought in this denim rug I’ve had for years. It gets moved around our home often. It’s always been a favorite of mine.
The hanging Rope Lights (From HERE) also add to that beach-house summer look.
