I brought some Spring Snow Ball (Viburnum) branches into our kitchen and the whole look felt so cheerful so I wanted to share more with you today.

But first, I have to share where I got the snow ball branches. This bush actually belongs to our neighbors, and since it’s so massive, I figured they wouldn’t mind if I cut me off a couple of branches. Isn’t it gorgeous? I need to research how to propagate it, so I can plant some in our yard.

While I was helping myself to the neighbor’s snow ball branches, I also took a little mint from their huge plants. Again, they had plenty and I know they wouldn’t mind sharing. 😊

I planted the mint in my own garden right away, and then I brought the snow ball branches inside, placed them in a pitcher of water, and placed it in a wooded crate next to our kitchen sink.

I mean…. just a lovely scene, don’t you agree?

I typically use this wooded crate as a dish drying rack for all of our hand-wash only dishes that my family insist on always using, But these blooms have now taken over, and well, I guess theres no room for the dishes to dry, so I’m not doing them. 😂 (only kidding).

We had company in town a few weeks ago, and they told me that they loved my kitchen, and that it felt like a french cafe…. and this was coming from someone who spends a lot of time in France, so I took that as the biggest compliment ever!

Obviously, the French Cafe part would be the awning above our window that I made out of a PVC pipe, brackets, and fabric. You can find my easy instructions [HERE].

I typically have some faux hydrangeas in the pitcher next to our sink, but after switching out the faux flowers for these snow ball branches, it has me wanting to bring in Real Flowers more often.

I use to give my kitchen a makeover almost yearly, but it’s now been over a year since I made it over this last time and I have no plans to do so again.

Anyway, back to the snow ball branches because they are just so pretty.

If you have a snowball bush in your yard then I hope that you are cutting branches and bringing them inside too…… and if you don’t have a snowball bush, perhaps peek around your neighborhood. There’s a good chance one of your neighbor wouldn’t mind sharing some with you 😉
