Our Cute Christmas Dining Room

When I went to give this blog post a title, the only word that came to me was, CUTE, so today, let me share with you our Cute Christmas Dining Room. You’ll have to let me know if Cute is the name you would give it or something else.

I turned our dining table so it’s facing a new direction now. Little changes like this always make a big difference. I think I like the dining table better this way and I will probably leave it put after the holidays.

But the biggest change in here is that we brought our white IKEA Ektorp sofa in here. We kinda had to, there was nowhere else to put it. I think the sofa makes our dining room look extra Cozy. It on the other hand will probably not be stying here after the holidays, but we are really enjoying it in here for now.

So to decorate this room for Christmas I added a bunch of Garland. I added a garland and lights to the window and then I added some fresh greens from a tree in our backyard to the chandelier. I place a few more pine branches on the table.

TIP: Fresh Greens are Free, smell amazing, and add a touch of nature into your spaces.

I had the most fun decorating the table. I added a table runner that my MIL made for me down the center of the table, and then I lined that with lanterns, candles, and other Christmas Decor. For the place settings I added a silver charger, white plate, adorned with a folded Tree napkin, sprig of pine and a small nutcracker. I just found a tutorial for the Tree napkin on line. Super simple, but really Cute.

Cute, Right? There’s the word again. 😊

TIP: Search Napkin Folding Ideas online or Pinterest to learn how to easily fold a cloth napkin into a fun shape.

I found the metal ring bowl at my work office it was in our break area not being used. I thought it was neat and so I brought it home with me. I placed a few battery operated candles in it along with some more pine sprigs.

I don’t usually have this much stuff on my kitchen table so it’s a fun look that’s different than usual. Makes our home feel more special for the holidays.

We collect nutcrackers and pretty much get a new one every year so you’ll always find lots of nutcrackers around our home at Christmas time.

In our dining room I also brought in a little flocked Christmas tree and wrapped some extra lights on it. I don’t think we have ever had Christmas lights in our dining room before so our dining room feels extra festive this year.

TIP: Add Christmas lights to rooms that you normally don’t add lights to, this will make your rooms extra festive than usual.

I also added some cute (yes, Cute) red plush ornaments to this tree. And I place the tree in a large pewter bowl which I thought was a fun idea.

Tip: Think outside the box when it comes to a Christmas tree stand. Try using a decorative bowl, or be creative by using items that you have around your home.

And there you have it, our Cute Dining Room decorated for Christmas.
