I am currently giving our kitchen a makeover!! I can’t wait to get the room all completed and show it to you. I think the new look is going to really surprise a lot of you. But I just got started on the makeover so you’ll have to wait a few weeks for me to finish it up. So in the mean time, I wanted to share these new raw steel ledge shelves that I ordered and hung up in our kitchen.
I ordered two of these Raw Steel Floating Shelves Here from Amazon. I love the industrial farmhouse look of them. And the size I ordered are so perfect for this wall in our kitchen.

I just love the look of all of their products. And when I saw these metal ledge shelves I knew that they would look great in our kitchen.
I just screwed the shelves into the wall and I can tell that they are really sturdy and will be able to withhold whatever I decide to put on them.
For now, I just put a few various objects on the shelves, like a tray and some plants, but I’m sure I’ll be decorating them often whenever my mood changes.
Also, did you notice the new paint color yet? So I recently painted our Living room and dining room in TITANIUM by BENJAMIN MOORE, well I like the color so much that I decided to paint it on the kitchen walls as well.
Truthfully, I haven’t painted the rest of the kitchen just yet, so this is really the only wall that is painted for now. I wanted to hang up my new shelves so I figured I’d paint the wall behind them first. But I will be painting the rest of the room very soon.
So a fun added feature that I figured out is that because these shelves are metal I can use magnets to hang up recipe cards or notes.
Here is a side view of the shelves. As you can see there’s plenty of room to layer in my decor, whether I choose to have picture frames, plates, dishes, plants or whatever else, I’ll be able to add layers, which is something I always like to do.
It might also be fun to one day use these shelves to hold a herb garden. I can line up a bunch of little pots with all different herbs. That would be cute, right? Like I said I’m sure I’ll be changing the decor on these shelves around often.
