Hello and Welcome to my home. I always have fun styling up our entryway and it’s even more fun for me to decorate it up for Christmas. Come on in and take a look around!

I always call this little space by our front door, The Entryway, but really there isn’t much to it. I think you can create a welcoming entryway even if you don’t necessarily have an actual entry way. A small bench and wall hooks is usually a great starting off point.

I then like to give my entryway lots of personality for the season by hanging up hats, coats, jackets, bags and whatever else helps tell a story I want to create.

Seriously, go to your closet, and/or your families closets to find items that will help create the vibe you want. Chances are you already own the perfect entryway accessories!

The vibe I was going for is a Christmas in the Country look. So a Red Tartan backpack, denim jacket, blue and white ticking stripe pillow, and a tartan blanket used as a seat cover were the perfect accessories for me to create the look I wanted.

The nightwatch tartan curtains hanging up in my son’s room are just the right thing as well. See how I made these plaid curtains HERE.

I should also mention that the blue and white stripe curtains are new and from HERE. I haven’t blogged about them yet. I absolutely adore them! I’ve hung them up in our living room, dining room, and even our kitchen. I shared more about them on my Instagram page HERE.

I had a tough time deciding on which curtains to get, but in the end I knew that I couldn’t go wrong with a classic blue and white stripe. They are Perfect! and I’m sure to love them forever since my obsession with blue and white stripes runs deep.

The wood entry table is new too……new to me! Can you believe my neighbor was just giving it away? granted, It does need a little TLC especially on one of the legs, but when we opened up the drawer it has a Ralph Lauren tag on it!! So I’d say I scored on this piece.

Getting back to how I decorated my entry way for Christmas this year, One of the simplest things I did that made a big statement was bringing in a cut branch from a pine tree in our backyard. You do not need to buy garland for Christmas – You just need to go for a walk around your yard or neighborhood with a pair of clippers in your back pocket. Real Pine branches are the best holiday decor!!

Some rusty bells and a simple JOY ornament are really the only actual Christmas decor items that I added. Oh and a mistletoe hanging from the front door handle which is kinda funny now that I think about it. Otherwise, everything else just says Christmas without stating the obvious.
