As I type this, this tree in my backyard has already dropped all of its beautiful white petals like fallen snow, but I still wanted to blog about it because its beauty deserves to live on. I take pictures of this tree every spring because it really is spectacular. You can see some of the different photo shoots over the years of this tree here, but unfortunately, there were a few years where I didn’t share the pictures here on the blog. That’s another reason why I wanted to make sure to blog about it today.
In past years, I’ve set up different looks to photograph under this tree which includes; a picnic blanket and basket, a bike with a basket full of flowers, a picnic table all set for an alfresco meal, a wicker loveseat, a hammock, and a bird bath. Again you can see some of those pictures HERE.
This year I kept it simple and brought out this vintage collapsible lawn chair, vintage camp stool, and a pillow. I spent last Sunday relaxing in this very spot for hours. It was a beautiful warm and sunny day, I flipped through a magazine, listened to the bees buzz, smelt the sweet fragrance of the blooms, all while sipping on a cold glass of sweet tea. It truly was a magical moment. I’m so glad I had that moment, because like I said, today, the petals are all fallen, it’s been rainy and stormy this whole weekend and sadly this tree’s blooms come and go way to fast.
But there is peace in knowing that this beautiful tree will come alive with blossoms again next spring. Something I will look forward to again next year as I do every year.
Are you soaking up all of Spring that you possibly can too?
